Rockshox continue to refine the SID with a 100 gram weight saving for 2012 and the new Motion Control DNA damping platform. The adjustablity, weight and performance make SIDs essential for the competitive XC rider. Dual Air Spring: With independently adjustable positive and negative air spring chambers, Dual Air is race or trail ready, highly tunable, and one of the lightest air spring systems on the market. Dual Flow Rebound Damping: Suspension shouldn't pack up in rock gardens or buck after big drops. That's why Dual Flow incorporates independent damping circuits, allowing separate rebound speeds for big hits and small ones. A user-adjustable knob controls the beginning-stroke (small-hit) rebound, and a factory-set ending-stroke (big-hit) rebound creates the perfect suspension for whatever the trail or park throws your way. Now tuning your suspension for your unique needs is as easy as a clockwise or anticlockwise turn. Motion Control DNA Compression Damping The new evolution of the Rockshox damping technology is built on the fundamentals of the Motion Control system; great adjustability, superior damping performance, low maintenance and easy servicing. Motion Control DNA reaches a new level of precise control with a superior interface and a lighter weight spring tube inspired by a double helix. Motion Control lets you control the compression damping and lockout characteristics of your fork to maximise grip, pedalling efficiency, comfort and protection for any course or condition.Motion Control RLT: The RLT option features motion control compression damping and lockout setting with the additional ability to adjust the blow-off threshold, this sets the force needed to engage the blow-off function so you can control the balance of pedalling efficiency and protection to suit the terrain.
