Asics Gel Trail Sensor 5 Shoes AW11: Top of the range trail running shoe featuring a host of technologies specifically for off-road running including a full length trail sensor system and reversed lugs to provide traction on hills. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) - Asics Design Philosophy. Employs linked componentry that enhances natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. Rearfoot and Forefoot Gel Cushioning - Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Comfordry Sockliner - Provides cushioning performance and anti-microbial properties for a cooler drier healthier environment. Solyte Midsole Material - A lighter weight midsole compound than ASICS standard EVA and SpEVA. Also features enhanced cushioning and durability. Full Length Trail Sensor System - Enables parts of the midsole to decouple for optimal traction on uneven terrain. Trusstic System - Reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. Rock Protection Plate - Provides protection against stone bruises. AHAR - Acronym for ASICS High Abrasion Resistance Rubber. Placed in critical areas of the outsole for exceptional durability. Lace Pocket - Specially designed to keep the shoe laces tidy particularly for off-road conditions. Trail Specific Outsole - Reversed lugs provide uphill and downhill traction on all types of terrain. Inner Lock Lacing - Provides ankle support and stability with two straps which become wrapped around the foot when the shoe is laced.
